Rev. David C. Skinner of Malden, Missouri, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was 80 years old. Born in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Curtis and Louise Skinner Dec. 12, 1942. He married the love of his life, Barbara Janice Rasnick Sept. 21, 1962.

Rev. Skinner pastored churches in Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, California and Missouri. He evangelized all over the United States and worked at many church youth camps. He was a talented singer and musician.

He was a very kind-hearted man that loved people. He was a devoted husband, father and most importantly strongly devoted to God.

Rev. Skinner was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Janice Skinner; two children: Bo Skinner of Puxico, Missouri (wife Gina), and Allan Skinner of Bogalusa, Louisiana (wife Myra). He has six grandchildren: Jordan Skinner (wife Alivia), Blake Skinner (wife Kiahra), Victoria Skinner, David “Joe” Skinner (wife Crystal), Jessica King (husband Travis) and Brittany Gautier (husband Guy); nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Gloria Jean Sears and Becky Louise Maracich.

He was loved by many and will be missed by many, but we will see him again in a much better place!

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at Landmark Pentecostal Church in Malden, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Leroy Young officiating. Burial will be at Puxico Cemetery.
