Continuing through the month of March, the local Menards will be accepting non-perishable food items for the Poplar Bluff United Gospel Rescue Mission pantry.
Menards store manager Bill Joe said, “We have a large box where we are taking the collection and it is now about half full.”
The store participates in the food drive every year, as well as a pet food drive coming in May and a yearly toy drive that starts in October or November, according to Joe.
“We have a large selection of non-perishable food items here in the store as well that people can just drop off while they are here in the store,” Joe said.
Menards is located at 3105 Oak Grove Rd. and is open to receive donations during store hours daily 6 a.m.-9 p.m. until March 31.
