Route 53 in Butler County reduced for shoulder work

SIKESTON — Route 53 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform shoulder work.

This section of roadway is located from County Road 647 to County Road 658 near Qulin, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
