Jason Smith wins reelection

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Jason Smith won reelection for U.S. House in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press. His opponent was Democrat Randi McCallian.

Voters also reelected Democrat Cori Bush of the 1st District, Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer of the 3rd District, Democrat Emanuel Cleaver of the 5th District and Republican Sam Graves of the 6th District.

In the 4th Congressional District, former Kansas City morning news anchor Mark Alford defeated Democrat Jack Truman in the race for the seat held by U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler.
