Special meeting of city council

The City Council of Poplar Bluff has scheduled a special meeting, to be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 30, in the council chambers, located at 301 S. 5th St.

Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic and orders from Gov. Mike Parson, no more than 10 citizens may attend the meeting.

Citizens may call 401-646-2472 to listen to the meeting and participate in any discussion of the public hearing. The pin number to join the call is 211650218.

The agenda includes consideration to waive current law limits and restrictions on to-go orders for alcohol sales.

Electrical Board meeting canceled

Due to continued health threats of COVID-19, and following guidance from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Poplar Bluff Electrical Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 2, has been canceled until further notice.
