Downtown PB: Thanks for help on Fourth of July

Downtown Poplar Bluff Inc., the City of Poplar Bluff, and City Council would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Briggs & Stratton and Mid-Continent Steel & Wire for sponsoring the annual Downtown Poplar Bluff fireworks show.

We would also like to thank you Fox Media Network for sponsoring the annual Fourth of July Parade. Winners of this year’s most patriotic float were John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, Hefner Furniture & Appliance and Highway Missionary Baptist Church. Thank you, Matt Winters, Mitchell Davis & Monique Coleman for your time in helping judge this year’s entries.

Thank you to everyone involved in making our Fourth of July activities a success. A special thank you to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri Highway Patrol, Reserve officers, Poplar Bluff Fire Department, Street Department, Park Department, Municipal Utilities and other volunteers.
