Dead man's

mail must stop

Yes, this is in regard to "Post Office Turns Blind Eye." It is understandable that they make mistakes. Everybody does. But, the post office has been putting a dead man's mail in my box for over two years. I've told them about it. I've gone in there. I don't want all of this trash in my mailbox. Why can't they listen to what the people say? .

Obama

leaves out God

It has been an American tradition that each Thanksgiving the sitting president give a proclamation declaring Thanksgiving Day to be a national day of thanks to God for his blessings on our nation. This Thanksgiving and the two previous our president has given a proclamation, but on all three Thanksgiving Days President Obama never once said who he was giving thanks to--never once declared the day the day to give thanks to God specifically. In other words, NO--in capital letters--mention of God's name. Does he not know that the Pilgrims gave thanks to God on that first Thanksgiving? Does he not know that every president from George Washington to George W. Bush has given thanks to God in the Thanksgiving Proclamation? You better believe he knows. And, you better know why he never referred to God. He is Marxist to the bone and a dyed in the wool secular humanist. Let's vote him out in 2012.

Sewage plant stinks up area

I've called the Poplar Bluff Sewage Treatment Plant or Sewer Department and I've gotten absolutely nowhere. The sewage treatment plant down in southeastern Poplar Bluff south of Hwy. 53 and east of Hwy. 142 right across the curve from Bluff Falls stinks! Absolutely reeks! I've lived here roughly 10 years and this is the worst it has ever been. I've called them and talked to them and said they'd get right on it. Here is it--about three weeks later and nothing! It's time to do something about this. I don't know if they are doing something different or just what's going on, but this end of town is gonna be evacuated one of these days because it just absolutely stinks down here! And, it's all because of the sewage treatment plant.

Agenda over

common sense

Isn't it strange now that the Chevy Volts are now exploding and literally going up in flames in many cases? Shouldn't the motoring public ask, when is it that when the government steps in and forces a new technology upon the public and we start seeing these types of problems? Is it not time that we ask ourselves that the government get out of picking winners and losers in this environmental nonsense that they are trying to force on the public? Shouldn't it be safety first as it has always been in the past? Instead of following one president's political agenda? Truly makes you wonder. Yes, we saved General Motors, but how many are they going to take down with this fiasco? True, they haven't killed anybody . . . yet, but I'm just waiting and I know the trial lawyers are also. Here's another one for the Democrats hell bent on pushing a agenda instead of common sense on the public.

This country

is going crazy

I don't know what's goin' on with our world today. I can't give over how your newspaper had a cartoon, I think it was Agnes, showed a friend of hers breaking wind and laughin'. Then on Sunday in the cartoon Zits, it showed a naked teenager boy in the shower. Showed his entire rear end. And, then I watched television this morning, found a channel, 42, I believe, and some one showing people how to make dog do-do. And, then it showed a man supposedly eating the dog do-do. I think this country is going crazy. And first thing we need to do is to teach a little decency and we've lost some of that.
