MAIN EVENT — 90s themed bingo, book giveaway, Opry at the Rodgers

This weekend offers multiple chances to listen to music or enjoy family-friendly events.

Three Rivers College will host a 1990s-themed music bingo Friday at the Bess Activity Center. The event includes food trucks.

Saturday also offers the opportunity for tunes, with Opry at the Rodgers featuring the Moon Pie Band.

Events for kids include two on Saturday, the Three Rivers Shrine Club Kids Day and Roll and Read.

The Shrine Club will host activities for families from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at their location, 3102 Kennedy Lane, with the help of their partners, including area first responders.

The Butler County Community Resource Council will give away books and hold bike, wagon and stroller decorating contests at Roll and Read. The event will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Hendrickson Park.

Both children’s events are free to attend.

— Three Rivers Shrine Club Kids Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 27 WHERE 3102 Kennedy Lane COST Free WHAT Activities for children and families provided by the Shrine Club and its partners, area first responders.

— Roll and Read, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 27 WHERE Hendrickson Park COST Free WHAT Book distribution and crafts, including a bike, wagon and stroller decorating contest. Sponsored by the Butler County Community Resource Council.

— Opry at the Rodgers, 7-10 p.m. April 27 WHERE Rodgers Theatre COST $10 WHAT The Moon Pie band performs with guest Megan Leigh and Michaela Lambert.

— Live music from Keyed Up, 3-7 p.m. April 28 WHERE King David’s Winery

— Second Annual Animal Welfare Alliance Golf Scramble, 8 a.m. May 4. WHERE Ozark Ridge Golf Course. COST $200 per team entry. WHAT Golfers of all skill levels are invited to tee up for animals in need. Cash prizes for the top three teams range from $200-$400 dollars, and a 50/50 raffle will also be held. The event is sponsored by Pyles & Wiseman Investment Services and Parks Animal Care Center. Forms are available at Key Drugs and Ozark Ridge Golf Course. — Spring concert, 7 p.m. May 7 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center COST Free WHAT This will be the final concert of the school year for the Three Rivers College Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Collegiate Choir.

— Mozark Madness, 11 a.m. May 10 WHERE Ray Clinton Park WHAT A day of games, food and more. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the competition at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Greater St. Louis Area Council Scouting.

— Strawberry Festival, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 18 WHERE 134 County Road 367, Harviell COST $5 parking fee WHAT A first time event by McGruder HomeGrown, it will include vendors, food trucks and music.
