Bonnie Mae Prewett Medley, born Jan. 4, 1930, in Dixon, Missouri to Mattie Gaddy Prewett and Richard Prewett, died April 21, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Luther Medley May 24, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 2013.

Bonnie will be remembered by many for her fish frying skills at Hart’s Catfish. She loved her customers and dear friends Gene and Sally Hart and family.

Bonnie was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved and cherished her church family.

Bonnie is survived by children, Gary (Hilda) Medley, Sharon Watson, Karen (Doug) Murphy, David (Ginger Potts) Medley; grandchildren, Amanda (Tommy) Quaite, Beth (Ian) Perigo, Matthew (Jana) Murphy; great-grandchildren, Ally and Chase Murphy, Weston and Clara Murphy, Vayne Perigo, Ramsie and Judah Quaite and great-grand-dog Pugsie.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Charles Watson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Watson and Michelle Medley; parents; brothers, Woodrow, Richard and Jimmy; sisters, Roxie, Duffie, Margaret, Abbie and Ethel.

There will be a visitation 1-2 p.m. Thursday, April, 25, 2024, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, located in the former Cotrell building at 701 Vine St., Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Nathan Kirkley officiating. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery on JJ Highway in Butler County.
