Diana LaJune Dye, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Oakdale Care Center.

Diana was born June 10, 1947, to John and Katherine (Moore) Stovall in Poplar Bluff. She married Buford “Ray” Dye in 1969, also in Poplar Bluff.

Diana was a member of Living Word Baptist Church. She was known to be quite the character and always made those around her laugh with her antics and practical jokes. She enjoyed crafts, working with children, and helping others in need. Diana was a Licensed Practical Nurse for nearly 20 years, working at Lucy Lee Hospital and Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1994. She went on to own and operate her own retail store in Poplar Bluff, called Diana’s Outlet. Diana enjoyed going to flea markets, she had several booths over the years. She was a social butterfly and thrived on interaction with others. Her greatest joy was her family and friends.

Diana is survived by her brother, Donald (Sandy) Stovall; two special nieces, Donna (Bryan) Stovall and Kathy (Andre) Gurganious; great-niece, Rashayla Davis; great-nephew, Diontay Davis; special friend whom she considered to be a son, Steve Ray; her canine companion, Lulu; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Dye; brother, Danny Stovall; nephew, John Stovall.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-Noon Monday, April 22, 2024, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral will follow beginning at noon with Pastor Donnie Emmons officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
