• Two children involved in separate serious accidents are recovering well.

Eugenia Ward, no age given, suffered a concussion on Feb. 27 while riding a wagon downhill with other children. The wagon overturned and flung her headfirst into a deep ditch at the corner of Cedar and Eighth streets. Her condition is greatly improved today.

Louis Davis, age 8, was hit by a car earlier this week and also sustained a serious head injury. Today he’s extremely sore, but is out of bed and moving well.

• A big lock wasn’t enough to keep “marauders” out of Dr. Richard Tyer’s chiropractic clinic this week. His office has been broken into three times by vandals. So far they have torn up records, broken vases and vandalized a smoking stand. No cash is stored in the building.

• Mark Twain school students performed for a packed crowd last night, and on a packed stage — 110 students presented “Little Boy Blue” to raise money for school equipment. The Interstate American declared, “It was presented in a most artistic manner.”

• The Interstate American announces it will publish a series of articles about the Holy Land, along with daily prayers, during Lent.
