Shelia Barker

Shelia Lee Barker (Knuckles), 70, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Shelia was born July 7, 1953, to Russell and Esther (Miller) Knuckles. She was a talented artist and singer, a loving sister and friend, and an especially devoted mother and grandmother. While she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

Shelia is survived by her daughters, Samantha (Jason) Magill and Stephanie (Randy) Alexander; her grandchildren, Amara, Audrey, Owen, Mikah, Ethan and Ozzy; her siblings, Brenda Kirk, Dianna Hendrickson, and Michael Knuckles; and her former spouse and father to her children, Rodney Barker. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Knuckles.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
