Lois Boyet

Lois (Cooley) Boyet was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Broseley, Missouri. She went to be with the Lord Feb. 18, 2024, at the age of 75, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She married Richard Boyet Sept. 29, 1989.

Lois was a woman of strength and determination, coupled with a heart full of boundless love and a delightful sense of humor. Her unwavering loyalty, generosity, and courage were evident to all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered for the love she showered upon her friends and family, leaving a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Michelle Lewis (James), Angela Davis (Ernest); her parrot Charlie; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christina, Hunter, Autumn, Zaylee, Alexus, Leela, Michaela, Addison, Andrea (Robert), Riley, Shyenne, Madison, Mason, Marissa, Jeffery, Jace, Juno, Jozi, Samantha (Dalton), Gannon, Nolan, Jaxon, Montana, Leo; sisters, Alta Leonburger, Martha Stoevur, Ruby Bruce (Pat), Maxine Logsdon (David); and sister-in-law, Thelma Cooley.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys (Ross) Cooley; husband, Richard Boyet; sisters, Viola Kester, Melissa Bollinger; brothers, Chester Cooley, Lester Cooley, Floyd Cooley, William Cooley, and Fred Cooley.

The memory of Lois will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light she shared so generously with the world.

Visitation was from 10 - 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at Heartland Christian Family Church in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kevin McAnulty officiating. Burial took place at 1 p.m. at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
