Arden Hillis

Arden “Frank” Hillis, 90, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hillis was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Cash, Arkansas, son of the late Vade and Ella Hillis.

He was a longtime member of Living Word Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.

On Feb. 14, 1959, he married Charlotte King Hillis. She survives. Also surviving are three children: David (Laura) Hillis of Poplar Bluff, Sandy (Charlie) Owen of Havana, Kansas, and Melissa (Chuck) Sanders of Dover, Arkansas; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister: Shirley (Neal) Dabbs of Fisk, Missouri, and one brother: Larry (Diane) Hillis, Poplar Bluff.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings:  Earlene Smalley, Joan Hillis, David Hillis, Dewel Hillis, and Louise Dailey.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Donny Emmons officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
