Marilyn Proctor

Marilyn Mae (Gibbs) Proctor, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Sunday, Dec.10, 2023 at Oakdale Care Center surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born Aug. 18, 1944 in Spencer, Indiana, daughter of the late Glenn and Grace Gibbs. She was a graduate of Neelyville High School in 1962. Marilyn was a Ward Clerk at Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff. She retired in 2007 after 40 years of service. She enjoyed bingo, reading, watching western movies and being with her family.

She is survived by one son: Dwayne Michnal of Fisk; one daughter: Michele Michnal of Poplar Bluff; three sisters: Iris Thomas of Palmyra, Tennessee, Pat Adams of Poplar Bluff and Geraldine Bishop of Saint Peters, Missouri; three brothers: Gene Gibbs and Clifford Gibbs, both of Poplar Bluff, and Scott Kane of Avon, Indiana; one grandchild: Brittany Garner of Poplar Bluff; and one great-grandchild: Denver Garner of Poplar Bluff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister: Janice Piccione.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
