The Butler County Sheriff’s Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 at 2014 Wallace St., Poplar Bluff.

Missing is Caylee Jean Foster, a white 16-year-old female. She is 5-foot-5 and 130 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a nose ring and glasses, and was last wearing a beige Playboy bunny shirt, plaid black pajama bottoms and sandals.

Foster left her residence with friends after getting into an argument with her mother. She was dropped off at Bacon Park in Poplar Bluff and has not been heard from since.

Captain Randle Huddleston of the BCSD said Foster has run away and returned home multiple times. However, this incident is different because of the length of time she’s been gone. This prompted deputies to seek the help of other agencies and the public.

“We’ve come to the conclusion she doesn’t want to be found,” he said.

Huddleston advised she might have travelled to find family out of state, or she could be trying to settle elsewhere in the region.

“She is a minor out on her own and that’s why she’s endangered, but we don’t have a substantial reason to believe she’s in imminent danger at this point,” he said.

Anyone seeing the missing person or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Butler County Sheriff’s Department at 573-785-8444.
