Monday, November 13, 2023

Poplar Bluff has been announced as the newest stop for the Rock the Country music festival.

The two-day country music event will be held June 28-29, at Brick’s Offroad Parks.

Headlining the event will be Kid Rock, Jason Aldean and Hank Williams Jr. Others performing will include Koe Wetzel, Travis Tritt, Uncle Kracker, Colt Ford, Elvie Shane and others. Seven dates have been announced for the tour, which kicks off in April

“We are thrilled that Poplar Bluff was chosen as one of the seven small towns for this inaugural festival. The economic impact that this event will have on our community will be tremendous,” said Steve Halter, president, Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce. “I had the opportunity to meet Kid Rock in advance of this announcement and I can tell you that he is our kind of guy. He is all about the small town, hard-working, blue-collar people who love America.”

Halter, Poplar Bluff City Manager Matt Winters and Butler County Presiding Commissioner Vince Lampe were part of a group that met ahead of time with organizers, including Kid Rock.

Poplar Bluff is a great small town, full of hardworking folks and access to plenty of outdoors activities, Winters shared with the artist.
