Driver sought after pedestrian seriously hurt in hit-and-run

DONIPHAN — The Missouri State Highway Patrol is still searching for a driver in an alleged hit-and-run that seriously injured a 60-year-old pedestrian early Sunday morning.

According to the MSHP, Larry W. Riggs, 60, of Doniphan was struck at 12:28 a.m. Sunday on Highway 160 by an unknown eastbound driver just east of the Doniphan city limits.

Riggs was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
