Events for October include:

— Patron of the Arts presents, “Mutts Gone Nuts,” 7 p.m. Oct. 3 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center COST $15 WHAT Canines and comedy collide in a smash performance that’s sure to leave the whole family howling for more. It features nine canine partners, all adopted from animal shelters and rescues, that promise to unleash hilarity as the Houghtons attempt to match wits with their mischievous mutts.

— Shine A Light, Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Prevention Conference, 10:30 a.m.- 3:45 p.m. Oct. 6 WHERE Fellowship Church. COST Free. WHAT This free conference includes multiple speakers, including signs and symptoms and positive ways to intervene.

— Poplar Bluff Pickleball Tournament, 10 a.m. Oct. 7. WHERE Haff Whiskey Saloon. COST $100 per team. WHAT A tournament benefiting Boy and Girl Scouts, open to players of all skill levels. — Campbell Main Street Festival, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 7 WHERE Campbell Main Street WHAT Includes vendors, festival food, music and more.

— Bernie Fall Festival, 11 a.m. Oct. 7 WHERE Bernie City Park. COST Free. WHAT Come celebrate the changing season. There will be vendors, food trucks, pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, mini golf, a train ride, hayride and live music. Email info@berniechamber.com for more information.

— Ruth Garner Exhibit, noon-3 p.m. Oct. 9 through Nov. 3 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center. COST Free. WHAT Ruth Garner is a musician and potter who creates whimsical music-themed instruments and pottery from clay. See her work in the Gallery at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.

— Pumpkin Hollow, through Oct. 31 WHERE 671 County Road 336, Piggott, Arkansas. COST $12, children 1 and under free. WHAT Featuring a pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides, apple cannon, mega slide, zipline and more, hours are open 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday, plus additional hours Friday night for Horror in the Hollow.

— 55th Annual Art & Crafts Show & Sale, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 14. WHERE The Old Ballpark, 18336 Ballpark Road, Eminence. COST Free. WHAT There will be more than 100 craft booths at the event showcasing the craftsmanship of Ozark artists and hobbyists, plus live entertainment by Country Revival, the Bressler Cousins and the Baker Family.

— 5th Annual Hafftoberfest, noon, Oct. 14 WHERE Haffy’s Sports Bar & Grill, 336 Vine St. COST Free. WHAT Come to Haffy’s and celebrate Octoberfest while also supporting the Boys & Girls Club of the Heartland. There will be live music all afternoon and a cornhole tournament as well.

— Greenville Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 14, 21 and 28 WHERE Greenville Recreation Area COST Free. WHAT An exciting event for kids of all ages. Join area businesses, groups, agencies along with other ghosts and goblins during this fall family-oriented event. Contact the Wappapello Lake Area Association to set up a booth or activity help make the event even better. Creative campers decorate their campsites and generously welcome trick-or-treaters into the campground.

— Riverfront Fall Festival, 11 a.m-6 p.m. Oct. 21 WHERE Kellerman Foundation Parking Lot, Water Street, Themis Street and Riverfront Park in Cape Girardeau WHAT Features a collection of artisan vendors from around the Southeast Missouri area, food vendors and kids’ activities. — Trunk or Treat, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29 WHERE First Baptist Church, 551 N. Westwood Blvd. COST Free. WHAT Dress up in your best costume and come join the fun at FBC. Come get candy as you pass by all of the amazingly decorated trunks.

— Haunted Illusions, 7 p.m. Oct. 30 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center. COST $15. WHAT Celebrate halloween with an incredible night of magic, tricks, and treats featuring one of the top touring illusionists in the country.

— Monster Bash Trunk or Treat, noon-4 p.m., Oct. 31 WHERE McLane Park. COST Free. WHAT Join Missouri Highlands Health Care and other community partners for the Monster Bash Trunk or Treat event. There will be games, candy, popcorn, and more.
