Jessie Metz

Jessie Metz, 62, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Metz was born Sept. 23, 1960, in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Charles and Helen Metz (née Plyer). He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his time spent on the river and at deer camp.

On May 5, 2008, he married Diane McFarlen Metz. She survives. Also surviving are six children: Zach Jones, Stephanie Thatch, Beth Huber, Jessica Jones, Alix Jones, and Cecily Russom; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings: Robert Metz, Lynn Armes, Pat Metz, and Shirley Jones; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Sept.1, 2023, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin.
