Michael Berry

Michael “Mike” Anthony Berry, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Monday, July 31, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Berry was born Oct. 28, 1955, in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Miller and Therma Berry.

Mike retired from Ozark Border Electric in Poplar Bluff Jan. 29, 2021, after a 37-year career as a lineman. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.

On May 22, 1976, he married Carol Sue Simmons Berry. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons: Scott Berry of Wappapello and Aaron (Amanda) Berry of Poplar Bluff; daughter-in-law: Jennifer Berry of Pensacola, Florida; eight grandchildren: Josef Lichtenegger, Raychel Berry, MacKenzie Sarratt, Breauna Berry, Kailey Berry, Leilonnie Powers, Lucas Simpson, and Caitlyn Curry; one great-granddaughter: Jayson Granato; two siblings: Charles (Karen) Berry of Poplar Bluff and Debbie (George) Ray of Jacksonville, Arkansas; brother-in-law: Jim Priest of Wappapello; and a host of nieces and nephews who were like children to Mike.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son: Steven Berry; and two sisters: Barbara Priest and Peggy Priest.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.
