Cheri Moore-Dawe

Cheri Charolette Ann Moore-Dawe, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 7, 2023.

Mrs. Dawe was born June 17, 1949, in Herrin, Illinois, daughter of the late Hugh Berkley and Rosalie Moore (née Short). On Dec. 15, 1973, she married Jerry Lyle Dawe. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2015. Cheri is survived by her four babies: Jeremy Dawe, Jonathon Dawe, Pilar (Scotty) Dawe-Hopper, and Simon Dawe; seven grandchildren who she adored: Wesley Ashley, Hunter Berry, Amiah Berry, Molly Berry, Isabelle Berry, Lucas Hopper, and Jonas Hopper; one great-grandson who she believed hung the moon: Bentlee Hugh Berry; and her stinkin’ baby brother: Jim Moore.

She also leaves behind an abundance of extended family members, former students, colleagues, and friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Rev. Byron Beck officiating.
