Mary worked for several years at Silver Dollar City in the Hospitality House welcoming folks to the theme park and the adventures they would encounter.

Later in life, Dewey and Mary moved to Wappapello to return to the area where they both were born and grew up as children.  Mary sang with the RSVP Chorus and did volunteer work for the community in various roles.
