Adalynn Williams, a young girl from Broseley, is continuing her passion for helping others.

For the third year, Williams has organized a shoe drive called L.O.L with Addie, or “live out love.” Items collected will be given away in August to students in need.

Her mother, Brittney Williams, shared previously that Adalynn’s desire to make a difference started several years ago when they organized a fundraiser for a young boy with cancer, selling chocolate-covered strawberries.

As Adalynn grew older, she wanted to do something more significant, leading to the creation of her shoe drive.

During the previous year’s shoe and sock giveaway, Adalynn said they managed to provide over 300 pairs of shoes and socks to local children in need.

Adalynn’s initiative relies entirely on donations from friends, family, their church community, and individuals who have seen the flyers.

This year, much like years past, the giveaway will be held in August just before students are scheduled to return to school. Adalynn and her mom began accepting donations in June for this year’s drive. For more details about the event, interested individuals can visit Adalynn’s Facebook page, L.O.L. (Live Out Love) with Addie. Monetary donations can be made to Paypal, williams198312@yahoo.com.
