Sue Elledge

Sue Elledge, 81, of Wappapello, Missouri, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Elledge was born July 22, 1941, daughter of the late Glen and Geneva Sisco.

Sue worked hard at everything she did and truly enjoyed working for as long as she could. She had a career in banking for 40 years and was also co-owner of Glen’s Place for 20 years. She spent many years going from working all day at the bank to working all evening at the restaurant. She also worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 20 years.

On Feb. 20, 1960, she married Glen Elledge. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2023.

She is survived by one daughter: Kim Allison; two grandsons: Justun (Jenna) Buchanan and Matt (Britney) Allison; and five great-grandchildren: Breauna, Emberlyn, Brinley, Braylon and Jamisyn, all of Wappapello; two sisters: Glenda Riggins of Cape Girardeau, and Kay Vester of Poplar Bluff.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was also preceded in death by one sister: Jane Crisel, and son-in-law: Mike Allison.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be at Wappapello Cemetery.
