Joe Danner

Joe Wayne Danner, 96, of Rogersville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Cox Medical Center South.

Joe was born April 15, 1927 in Kennett, Missouri to John and Myrtle Danner.

Joe was one of seven children. While helping his parents on the farm he joined the United States Army and served two years during WWII. After the Army he married Vera Lee Webber in 1948. He worked on their farm in Southeast Missouri and was also a carpenter for many years.

In 1991 Joe and Vera moved to Rogersville to be closer to their children.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 75 years Vera, two daughters, Paula Christian and her husband, Barney, of Springfield and Jo Shrable and her husband, Jeff, of Ava. He is survived by two grandchildren Kerre Clark and her husband, Tanner, of Ava and Wil Shrable and his wife, Sarah, of Rogersville, seven great-grandchildren, Flint, Mattie, Tenley, Nora, Dalley, Jack, Adeline and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Joe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with interment following in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
