Mildred Mize

Mildred Lucille Mize, 82, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away April 3, 2023, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

She was born April 20, 1940, at Neelyville, Missouri to the late SL “Ted” Dollins and Mary “Haynes” Dollins.

She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Doniphan and had in previous years been a member of Coon Island General Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening and her grandchildren.

On Aug. 31, 1956, at Poplar Bluff, she was married to John Wayne Mize. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Sheila Terrell and husband, Larry, Sharon Garrett, and husband, Bill, and Wendell Mize and wife, Frances, all of Doniphan. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Tim, Elizabeth, Dustin, Aaron, Joshua, Kim and Brittany and nine great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters: Patsy Knowlton of Neelyville, Linda Layton of Naylor, Missouri and Teresa Cassinger of Neelyville, and three brothers: Charles Dollins of Naylor, Jerry Dollins of Neelyville, “Buck” Doyle Dollins of Piggott, Arkansas.

She was preceded by her parents; two sisters: Deloris “Sissy” Dollins and Margie Winder; and two brothers: Leo Dollins and Lloyd Dollins.

Visitation for Mildred will start at 6 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023. The funeral will be starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelyville. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Doniphan.
