Deputies searching for shooting suspect

Law enforcement is on the scene Tuesday afternoon at a shooting on Highway 53.

A canine unit has been called in to look for the suspect in a Tuesday afternoon shooting.

The Butler County Sheriff's Department, with the assistance of Poplar Bluff police and Missouri State Highway Patrol, are searching for the individual after an incident that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Highway 53 at Thomas Street.

Reporters at the scene have been told by law enforcement that one victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
