Understanding the difference between Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Tuesday, March 8, 2022

Anyone interested in learning the differences between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia may participate in a free Zoom class from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10.

John Fuller, University of Missouri Extension human development and family science specialist, will be instructing the class.

The University of Missouri Extension Office in Butler County is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association in presenting an education program, Fuller said.

“Attendees will outline the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, symptoms, stages, risk factors and more,” Fuller said. “You must register to get the Zoom link to the class. There is no charge for the class.”

Registration is required to attend the class and the link is https://extension.missouri.edu/events/understanding-the-difference-between-demen....

The class in April will be titled The 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s.

“Since the classes are at lunch time, you are more than welcome to bring a lunch with you,” Fuller said.
