Donations to be collected Monday in PB for tornado victims

Area groups have organized a way for local residents to help families in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Footsteps Medical Ministry Missions, Inc., which is based in Dexter, has been actively involved in collecting and donating needed items to Mayfield since Saturday, according to organizers.

On Monday, there will be two collection spots in Poplar Bluff that will coordinate with Footsteps to deliver the items on Tuesday.

Requested items include:

New Coats

Diapers

Blankets

Pet Food

Drop off locations in PB:

United Gospel Rescue Mission Thrift Store

421 W. Pine St

7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Fellowship General Baptist Church

3581 N. Westwood Blvd

Noon - 3 p.m.

“In Butler County, we were fortunate to get through Friday’s storms without damage and many of you have reached out asking how you could help those who weren’t as fortunate,” organizers shared. “There are many great organizations that you can assist and this one is a quick, practical way to provide direct aid to tornado victims.”
