FISK, Mo. — Phillip Cannaday , 78, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Fisk, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at The Springs of Jonesboro Health and Rehabilitation, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Mr. Cannaday was born Jan. 21, 1943 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of the late Columbus Franklin and Verna Cannaday.

On Dec. 5, 1964 he married Sharon Plumb. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter: Melissa (Pete) Prater of Jonesboro; two grandchildren: Kendall and Peyton Prater; two sisters: Bonnie (Danny) Scott of Fisk and Carolyn Cannaday of Republic, and one brother: Bill (Becky) Cannaday of Poplar Bluff.

He also was preceded in death by an infant son: Michael Phillip Cannaday; and two brothers: Lavonne and Gabe Cannaday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Shain Memorial Cemetery in Fisk.
