Emily Goodin, director of the health department, said they’re starting to receive results from the latest mass testing event

held Monday at Whiteley park.

She said 476 people received tests during that event and not all the results are in yet.

Another one will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday at Whiteley Park. The National Guard also will be back Friday, Nov. 20, to do a mass testing event from noon until 6 p.m. at the park.

For both clinics, there’s no appointment necessary and people will remain in their car during the test.

Goodin said the health department will no longer be updating COVID-19 numbers over the weekend. Results that come in over the weekend will be included in the Monday number release.

The health department also has a drive thru flu clinic Thursday at it’s office on Main Street.

This is free for anybody. Those with kids younger than 10 can come inside the clinic, otherwise people will stay in their cars and a health care professional will come deliver the shot.
