Neelyville man considered armed and dangerous sought in Saturday shooting

NEELYVILLE — The Butler County Sheriff’s Department is looking for Deshawn Bell in reference to a shooting that occurred Saturday evening.

“Sometime in the early evening hours, there was an altercation that happened in the Neelyville area,” explained Sheriff Mark Dobbs.

A male victim, whose name is not being released, was shot in the back.

He was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment of what Dobbs described as life-threatening injuries.

“We are presently trying to locate Deshawn Bell, 21,” Dobbs said.

The Neelyville man, Dobbs said, should be considered armed and dangerous.

Further details are not being released at this time.
