Authorities seek help in identifying female’s body

Butler County authorities are working around the clock to identify a female found dead in Butler County.

Butler County Coroner Andy Moore is asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman.

“I’m asking if you haven’t heard from a female family member or friend in the previous couple of weeks to please contact the coroner’s office,” Moore said.

He wants those calling to provide “a description so we can match what we know at this time, follow leads and make a positive identification.”

Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs said, authorities are continuously scouring databases to look for missing persons.

Moore is asking anyone with possible information to call the coroner’s office at ‪573-686-7884‬ or text him at ‪573-714-7151‬.

Authorities said they are not releasing additional information at this time about the woman or the circumstances surrounding her death.
