County vs. City

Uh, yes, there’s a difference between the people that live in the city and the people that live out in the county. People that live out in the county seems to take care of their own ditches, burn their own tree limbs and take care of their own place. People here in town seems to think that the city owes them and they pay taxes that’s what the city needs to do. Well, us county people we pay taxes too and people in the city need to learn to grow up and try to take care of your own stuff. Don’t be dependent on the city to take care of everything for you like a spoiled kid.

Main St. bricks

Whose big bright idea was it to pave Main Street from Pine all the way almost to Broadway? I just don’t understand. You want to revitalize downtown and you cover up one of the most historic places in the city. Thank you.

Doing a good job

I just read on the front page of Wednesday’s paper (June 26) the publisher’s writing on answering your questions. I want to tell him I love the Sunday paper on Saturday, that’s so much better and I can see how it would save the paper. I also love the prayer on the front of the paper. I think he’s doing a good job. Thank you.
