Winter weather advisory issued for area overnight

The National Weather Service in Paducah, Ky. issued a Winter Weather Advisory for an area including Carter, Butler, Ripley, Stoddard and Wayne counties from midnight tonight to noon Thursday.

Freezing rain is expected with total ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch. Slick travel conditions are likely, especially on bridges and overpasses.

The conditions could impact the morning commute Thursday.
