How do protesters

make a living?

Hello, Speak Out. After a lifetime of working every day just to keep a roof over my head, groceries on the table and to have something to drive legally with insurance, license plates and so on. I never had the time off work to participate in a riot or a protest or a march. I would love to see some of the exit interviews like they do at elections and find out just what those people do for a living that they have so much free time to be involved in that looting and rioting and tearing down statues. And I might note you know many people in the United States are offended by the statues of Martin Luther King, Jr. When will some of those be torn down? Thank you.

Want my respect?

You must earn it

I saw Mary Ann Connelly about a week ago on television and her big point was when people disrespect the president, etc. I do not respect Putin of Russia. I do not respect Assad of Syria. I do not respect Kim Jung Un of North Korea. I do not respect any dictator who hurts his people. Respect is not just given, it is earned and will never be earned by any president until he stops disrespecting many, many others. Thank you for your time. Bye. Bye.

Swamp dwellers

are still in swamp

Hello Speak Out, Am I the only one who sees, um, tremendous resemblance what's going on with the antique monuments to those that fought and died in the Civil War to the actions if ISIS and destroying the monuments in the Middle East countries? While they're at it why don't they just like go down to Vicksburg and various other places, uh, and go ahead and just eradicate, uh, everything to do that memorialized the Confederate soldiers. Ever one of 'em. And then once all those are gone go ahead and eradicate the Union soldiers 'cause they're a counterpart to each other. I knew that we had a high level of stupidity in our country. You know President Trump announced he was going to "drain the swamp". The swamp dwellers from both sides of the aisle have decided they don't want the swamp drained. I feel sorry for our president. You know he was not really Republican or Democrat. God Bless America.

the Dud Party

I think it's time the Republicans change their name to the "Dud Party". That's all they are is a bunch of duds. 'bout 14 more months till the 'lection people! Time to drain some more swamp. Thank you.

Unhappy with

law enforcement

I read your article in Friday's paper about the cops in Ripley county. Doniphan says business as usual. If you ask the local residents they would say business is NOT as usual. In fact we're very disheartened by the actions of our local law enforcement and county & city officials. We're very unhappy about the way crime is being handled in Doniphan and Ripley county in particular. We hope that maybe a little more investigating that the paper would bring some light to this issue. Thank you.

I'm calling, downtown, Historic Downtown has been dead since 1970. Live in the 21st century! Downtown has been Highway 67 since then.

Trump has

a filthy mouth

Yes, hello there, um, I hope I am not the only person who takes offense, um, with our president. Uh, yesterday he came out with a , uh, uh, cuss word I guess you could call it, and uh, a vulgarism and then today uh, and, uh, uh, in his speech. These speeches are seen around the world and he came up with profanity and I um, am embarrassed and ashamed because a world now see that are president has so little respect for the American public especially the young people and children who are hearing him say these words. Um, of course they think well the president can do it certainly I can. Well, my kids can't and my kids won't watch him anymore 'cause you do not know what comes out of his filthy mouth. Thank you.
