Smith should call town hall meeting

To the Editor:

Jason Smith is the U. S. Representative for our district. His office phone number is 202-225-4404. That number is usually answered by a very nice, young lady. I have been calling to request that Mr. Smith conduct a town hall meeting in his home district. We, as voters, should have the opportunity to hear from our elected representatives. They are our employees, although they seem to forget that fact. So, call that number. Tell Mr. Smith your concerns or even tell him if you think that he is going a good job. There are numerous important pieces of legislation coming in the near future and your opinions should be voiced. It does no good to complain to your spouse or friends, they don't vote on bills or laws. Call your representative or senator. Let them know your stance. Do not be silent.
