SEMO Blind Club appreciates help

Wednesday, December 9, 2015

To the Editor:

The SEMO United Blind Club would like to thank the Daily American Republic and Carolyn Smith for the excellent article regarding our White Cane Walk. The white cane walk was held in October in conjunction with White Cane Safety Day. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors and donors as follows: Mayor Absheer, Larry Kimbrough, The Lions Club, Harps, The Donut House, Larry Hillis Dodge, First Midwest Bank, Dr. Opinaldo, Dr. Westridge, First Missouri Bank, Ozark Physical Therapy, Walmart, Sonic, Insta Print, Minit Print, Office Depot and Hwy 53 Storage. A special thanks to the First United Methodist Chursh for the use of their facility and to Capt. Trout and the Poplar Bluff Police Dept., for all their help. Without the community support this event could not have been the success that it was. We appreciate everyone who donated or who helped in any way.
