Action needed on transgender issue

Friday, November 13, 2015

To the Editor:

When will the people of this country stand up for what they do believe in? There are many people who strongly believe something but do not know what to do. Many things have happened in the last few months that I would like to address; but for now, let's address the issue of transgender students. The Education Department on Monday gave officials in a suburban Chicago high school 30 days to resolve a dispute with a transgender student who identifies as a girl but who is a boy in every way that counts. He/She? has sought to change and shower in the girls' locker room without restrictions; otherwise, the school risks forfeiting Title IX funding. This information came from the New York Times. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want my granddaughter to take showers with a boy. But now is the time to stand for righteousness. I want to give you all a list of all the things you can do.

1) Call up all the local School Board Members and ask them to vote to create bylaws so this cannot happen.

2) Ask the city council to vote on restrictions to ensure that only men go into the men's bathroom and only women go into the women's bathroom.

3) Call our State Representative Todd Richardson, who is Speaker of the House, and I am quite sure he will agree 100 percent.

4) Call our State Senator Doug Libla. I would ask House Speaker Richardson and Sen. Libla to bring it to the vote of the people of Missouri to vote on a law that would ONLY allow the gender on their birth certificate to dictate what bathroom and showers they should use.

5) Call your Missouri U.S. senator to introduce a bill in this regard.

6) Call your Missouri U.S. representatives and ask them to also introduce a bill in this regard.

7) Pray for our country.

Do you think President Obama would allow a boy to take a shower with his two daughters even if they were wearing a dress or not?
