Don't eat the

pricey eggs

Hello, Speak Out. This is Saturday, June 13th. The morning news is on. News people just said because of the bird flu the price of eggs had gone up 12 percent. The only thing I can figure is the people on CBS don't know how to use a calculator because the stores that I frequent in Poplar Bluff eggs up well over 100 percent. If you were looking at a dollar a dozen, you know, 16 percent would be $1.16. If you were paying two bucks a dozen and they went up a 100 percent, you'd be looking at four bucks. And across the board you're looking at about a hundred percent markup in Poplar Bluff. Do we just have a bunch of people taking advantage of a bad situation? I mean that's what it sounds like. As for me I don't have to have eggs, and I won't. And if everyone else looked at it this way, just cut back on the bacon and so on, the price gougers would have a lot of eggs to eat. Thank you.

Cape County

Transit is good

Yes, I just wanted to say a big thank you to Cape County Transit. I'm someone who depends on Medicare/Medicaid transportation for medical appointments and that is by far the best company that I have ever found. I have worked through most of them. Their cars are nice and clean and the drivers are friendly and courteous and they get you there on time and you're never late and I don't think you ask for a better company than Cape County Transit.

You're driving

is just as bad

To all the residents near Brick's Off Road Park. You complain when somebody drives fast and/or wreckless on your County Road but yet you drive in the same manner around us utility workers who are working near your house.
