Neighbors

grateful for man's efforts

I would like to give the Good Neighbor of the Month award to the young man who cleans off all the driveways and the roads on King Road and Haven Hills Subdivision. I won't give his name because I don't want to embarrass him, but I do want him to know all of his neighbors appreciate all of his hard work and that he doesn't have to make snow angels because he's our angel every time it snows and he clears our driveways so we get out and about our business. Thank you.

Reader praises Schrieber

and Farley

Yeah, I want to Speak Out about our publisher, Don Schrieber. We seen the article in paper about him and this Kaplan guy or this manager guy. You know what? Don Schrieber is a good person. He's a very nice person. And, he's always been there. He's just letting the people in Poplar Bluff know what's going on. It's sad! You know. We need to know. We're paying taxes here. Our money is going on taxes here. We've got a right to know what's going on and Donna Farley--she's doing a great job! She's doing her job and why is everybody so scared, the council and manager so scared of everyone knowing what's going on? What are they hiding? You know this is sad! They should read that prayer that Don Schrieber has put in the paper every day and read that. They might learn something from some of them prayers. Instead of fightin' , Poplar Bluff, get in unity, pray for situations and work together. Don't fight and stab each other in the back! And we were doing great with our money in Poplar Bluff. Look what Poplar Bluff growed from. Look at the old pictures and look at the new pictures and, yeah, thank God we're reaching out to these kids in school getting better schools. I thank God for that. And a new hospital, I thank God for that. Thank God for everything. You know, quit doing this, putting dark shadows on our editor, he's a good person. You got to know him. He's a good person. He takes time out and talks to ya. He's a good person. You'd be surprised what he does. Donations and stuff and what he has done in the past. You would be surprised how he has helped families. Yeah, the newspaper publisher. Hey, Kaplan, hey, manager, mayor, open your eyes! Get to know him. Don't stab him in the back cause he's doing his job. He's just lettin' the people know what's goin' on and that's all he's doin' . Thank you for listenin' to this.
