Reporting

a junkyard

I'd like to report a junkyard on the 1500 block of Truman Street. I don't know whether our code enforcement is scared of the people or what, but it looks worse than Browning junkyard and it needs to be cleaned up and everything and I don't know if the city manager and code enforcement is scared of the people or what but there's a dozen cars, old junkers, all the way around it. It looks worse than a junkyard for sure. I'd like to know, is code enforcement scared of the people? Thank you.

Money worries why buy land?

Just curious, if Poplar Bluff is in the financial trouble that Kaplan says it is, then why are they buying land for Whiteley Park?

Unsafe bridges

a way of life

Hello, Speakout. I just read the article about the bridge there in Campbell. Those folks don't have to worry too much about our fine, illustrious MoDOT getting in any kind of hurry to fix that bridge, after all, we've been driving over dangerous bridges for over 30 years on Highway 158, a little road that runs east and west six miles south of Poplar Bluff. Runs from 142 over to and hooks up with Highway 60. Like I said, over 30 years now those bridges have been dangerous, reduced to one lane of traffic and they're so much higher than the roadway, you cannot tell if you're meeting someone until you're there and they've made no attempt to fix that. Why should I have any faith in them? We're talking about the builders of the fancy U-turns. Thank you very much.

Thank you.

Why is meals higher at towers?

I have ate at six different senior centers all are $3 for a meal except the one at the towers which is $4. Why does it cost them more for food then all other?
