Mayor Pearson, Where are

the charges?

Since May of last year, we have been hearing accusations of deeply rooted corruption in the city government of Poplar Bluff.

Our current Mayor, Angela Pearson, even submitted a multi-hundred page 'expose,' to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Missouri Attorney General.

It has been a year since these accusations were submitted, and, many well respected Poplar Bluff business people also were named, along with former City Manager Doug Bagby.

Since this report was submitted, not only has Angela Pearson been appointed Mayor, she and her like-minded confederate's have been elected to a majority of the city council, and have the votes to accomplish their will.

All of this leads to the question, where are the charges?

Where is the evidence, of this nefarious activity?

Why, has no one been arrested?

Why, has the proof of wrong doing not been posted all over social media and the cities website?

Why are there not news trucks and camera's from Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, and Fox News, circling Poplar Bluff waiting for Mr. Bagby, crooked businessmen, or another former city employee in handcuffs, with a jacket over their head to be escorted to a waiting Law Enforcement vehicle?

Since the Mayor now has free reign of all records and paperwork of the city, why has she not brought out the 'smoking gun' for all to see?

I submit the reason is Obvious.

There is, No Smoking Gun.

There was, No Nefarious Activity.

There were no laws broken, so no arrest could be made, and no charges could be filed.

This is the simple truth and it is time Mayor Pearson admits it.

Rushin was pres of chiropractic examiners

Before the election of the city council, Dr. Ruskin [sic] was reported to have been president of the Missouri Chiropractic Association. In contacting the Missouri Chiropractic office, they state they have no record of him ever being president of the society. Who made the mistake? (EDITOR'S NOTE: He was president of the Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, which is different from the Missouri Chiropractic Association.)

Does search committee

live in town?

The people who were appointed to the search group to find the new city manager -- how many of them actually live in the city limits of Poplar Bluff? At least three of them I see the names of do not. And how many of them actually own a business in the city limits? There they go again. C'mon, new mayor, at least put somebody on the search committee who lives in the city.
