Yes, I see that Mr. Becker and Mr. West want to see change in the city. Oh! Wait it's not them. It's Mayor Pearson. I cannot believe they fired Doug Bagby who has done more for this city than any city manager that we have had in years. I do hope that when they charge off Mr. Becker's bill with Municipal Utilities they get published for the people of Poplar Bluff to know what this council is doing. And shame on Johnny Brannum. He knows better and I thought Councilman Johnson was not one of Becker and West's puppets, but I guess that proved wrong, too.

Let 'em suffer

I would like to make a comment about these "so-called" botched executions. You know I really don't feel sorry for these people and, I hope, and, I think, that a lot of people agree that the victims of these people were not killed in a kind, humanitarian way and, I'm sorry, but I believe that they should suffer just like they made their victims suffer. So, I don't understand why they're has to be a big investigation. Waste all this time and money when they were gonna be executed anyway, so what's the big deal? Sorry. That's the way I see it.

Social Security entitlements are always debated by our government on how to keep 'em solvent for the future. Maybe those of them like Vice President Biden should think twice about taking theirs. Yes, they earned their Social Security and are entitled to it, but for life they are given a large retirement package, which includes free healthcare. For Biden and others of his means to take their Social Security benefits is a disgraceful show of pure greed. Biden's yearly salary is $230,710 and his social security is $29,761. Many of us seniors on Social Security have a hard time month to month. Maybe our representatives should think about that when they accept Social Security benefits along with their large lifelong benefits.
