Check on your

neighbors

Today I saw an article in your newspaper about the weather, or being cold, can cause stroke in higher-risk elders or seniors, I should say. I would like to ask your readers to make sure you check on your neighbor if they are elderly and make sure they are nice and warm and if they cannot fix their furnace in good working order --do not have the funds--you may ask their landlord or maybe find some other resources if they own their homes. Especially if they have landlords see to it the landlord knows they are not properly warm. I worked for the Dept. of Health for many years and I've seen elderly who were neglected when they didn't have to be and suffering when there was no need for it. So, please, look after your elderly citizens. Check on hose people that are in your community and your neighborhood especially some suffering or needs care please contact the authorities at the Dept. of Health or Butler County Health.
