Where's that global warming?

Yeah, they talk about Al Gore and his global warning. Where's that global warming at right now? I wish some of that Chinese fog or coal dust from one of them factories would pass over Butler County for a few days warm a little of this frigid weather up. We need some of that there global warming here in Poplar Bluff. I believe in global warming for an extent, but it seems like global cooling here in Butler County. Anybody else agree with me? Kinda frigid weather out there, isn't it? Bye.

Firing squads?

This is concerning your headline Tuesday, Jan. 28 about the firing squad executions in Missouri. The State of Missouri should sell raffle tickets or lottery tickets for a chance to participate in a firing squad. The revenue raised should be placed in a crime-victims fund and given to the families of victims of crime. That sounds reasonable to me.

prices, really?

I'm calling about Walmart. They say they will honor all other coupons and all other prices and match 'em, but the local Cost Cutter Store, right here in town, they won't honor their's because they add that 10 percent. Why can't they go ahead and honor it and add the 10 percent? It's says they'll match anybody. That's anybody. Cost Cutters is a store, but they won't honor it, so I think they are misleading everyone when they say they will match any other competitors' price. Thank you.
