Don't ruin

neighborhood

There seems to be a couple of landlords in Poplar Bluff who purchase homes in good neighborhoods and then do not take the time needed to take care of these homes or supervise the tenants to make sure that the home is taken care of.

There are several homes in the neighborhood where I live where the grass isn't mowed when needed, the homes sit empty for long periods of time or the landlord does not do needed improvements to rent the home to good tenants.

The landlord by doing this is lowering the value of the homes he has purchased as well as lowering the value of other homes in the neighborhood that are owned by hardworking people.

If a landlord has so many homes that he can afford to let them set empty and not take care of his property, he needs to think about downsizing and not ruin the neighborhood for everyone else that lives there.

Stay off Maud with cycles

I'm calling about the persons that gets bicycles off of the highway. I live on Maud Street. Maud Street is very narrow and I have to wait when somebody in a hover-round, walker, bicycles riding. It's hard to get by there. There's places that are safer to walk and ride and there is on Maud Street. So, yes, please, get these things off the streets. Thank you.

Bilked out

of money

I'm wondering how many of you out there got bilked out of your money by The Spa here in Poplar Bluff? They were taking money in for treatments up to the day before they closed and then closed the next day. Now everyone has these coupons to get massages and stuff and they're gone--out of town. I wish there were someway somebody knew how to go after them. If you feel this way run an ad in here, too. Thanks.
