Fair Board thanks citizens, especially Briggs & Stratton

To the Editor:

A big THANK YOU to all the citizens of Butler County and surrounding area for joining us at the 2013 Butler County Fair! We could not have done it without you! We had a plus with outstanding weather this year. A big thanks to all the volunteers, Fair Board members and sponsors who supported us. We especially would like to thank all City and County officials and employees who helped make it a success: Police Department, Fire Department, Street Department, Butler County Sheriff's Department, Butler County Fire Department, Municipal Utilities, Black River Coliseum, Rural Metro Ambulance Service, Search and Rescue and Three Rivers Citizen's Advisory Board of Probation and Parole.

We had 90 vehicles and 46 horses in the parade on July 4. Thanks to all who participated! A special THANKS to Briggs & Stratton for donating the fireworks again this year for our July 4 celebration display. Thanks to Swank's Wrecker Service for being there for the Demolition Derby. The Adult and Youth entries in the Home Ec Division were outstanding!
