McCaskill isn't

middle of road

I'm replying to the article in today's paper titled, "Missouri Swings Both Ways." Senator McCaskill is "touting the fact that she ranks smack dab in the middle on the liberal to conservative scale." Give me a break! First of all, it is not a fact. That's wishful thinking. She hopes that we will forget what her voting record is. She is not a moderate, she's a liberal. She supported Obama's socialistic economic stimulus package and his socialistic healthcare package. She supports the supposed right of women have their unborn babies aborted. She was against the Missouri Sanctity of Marriage Act and the list goes on. She is not middle-of-the-road. In November we voters will not forget how she has voted and we will replace her with a conservative.

Take Rush

off the air

No local radio station should carry the Rush Limbaugh Show unless their management agrees with his sexist, bigoted views.

Give credit

where it's due

This is concerning the new sign on Hwy. 67 N about the completion of the 50 miles of new four-lane highway. The sign gives credit to the citizens of Poplar Bluff, the Corps of Engineers, MoDOT, and the Highway 67 Corp. for the achievement. Those who designed the sign must not realize that shoppers from outside the city limits plus those traveling through probably out number the citizens of Poplar Bluff and are probably paying more sales tax to the coffers than those citizens of Poplar Bluff. How about giving credit to all those who deserve it?

To old for

insurance

Wow! What a great country. You can be 83 years old, work your regular shift four days per week, off two days come back work four more days for eight years, but you're too old to qualify for the company's insurance. Wow! What a great country. Have good day today and a better day tomorrow.

Neighbor's

dogs an issue

Speak Out, we are tired of people turning their five dogs out to do their business in all the neighbors' yards. Some of us have children and we don't appreciate having to clean off their shoes from sticking in stuff. Can't they be arrested for allowing their dogs to run loose? I can understand that they might get loose once in a while, but this is every day.
